The teas and herbal infusions

Where is the tea from?

Ceylon (Sri Lanka). Joe loves the flavour profile of Ceylon tea; it’s light, floral and refreshing. All our organic black, green and white teas are sourced there.

Where are the herbal ingredients from?

Some are from Sri Lanka and some, the rest of the world, depending on where the best tasting, organic fruits and herbs are grown each year.

Are the teas organic?

Yes, every single one of them, certified by the Soil Association in the UK (USDA and Ecocert internationally). Organic certification ensures the teas are grown without the use of chemicals and pesticides, and in the most sustainable way possible. Learn more about organic here.

Which teas contain caffeine?

Ever-So-English Breakfast, Ever-So-English Everyday and The Earl of Grey are black teas containing caffeine.  Ever-So-English Decaf is gently decaffeinated with CO2 but is not completely caffeine-free. Queen of Green and Whiter Than White have less caffeine (and more antioxidants) respectively. All the rest are caffeine-free.

What are the tea bags made from?

Recyclable food safe nylon. We’re working towards a biodegradable solution approved by the Soil Association. Read more here.

Can I recycle the tea bags?

Yes you can, you just need to open them and discard the content into the food waste and then pop the bag in with your normal recycling. Read more here.

How do you make the perfect cup of tea?

Use freshly boiled fresh water for black teas and 80°c for all greens, whites and herbals. Infuse for as long as you like and add a splash of milk, a dribble of honey or a sprig of herbs if you fancy. Read more here.

Why don’t you sell loose leaf in to retail?

Our tea bags contain whole ingredients and our clever good-to-go pyramid bags allow the teas and herbal infusions to brew like a loose leaf tea conveniently wrapped up. Sign up to our mailing list in the footer to be the first to know about new products.

 

Online customers

Do you ship worldwide?

We ship our teas all over the UK and Europe every day via Royal Mail from our warehouse just outside London. We will do our best to get your goods out to you in the quickest time, but please allow up to 1 week for delivery.

We despatch orders within 2 working days of receipt and we aim to deliver within 5 working days within the UK. For overseas orders, please allow 12 working days.

If your shipping country is unavailable, please contact us at hello@joesteacompany.com and we’ll happily chat through your order and supply a shipping cost.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs vary based on the size of your order and the country where you are ordering from. Please see below for a summary of our delivery costs.

**Delivered next working day to UK mainland when ordered before 1 pm on a working day (Monday – Friday). Shipments to UK highlands, islands and Northern Ireland take 2 working days.

Can I track my order?

How can I make payment?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (except American Express) via Stripe and Paypal.

Do I have to pay tax on my order?

You’ll be glad to hear that tea is a zero-rated VAT item.

Can I return or exchange my product?

In the event that your product is received damaged, please email us within 5 working days of receipt.

Goods are returned to us at your cost.  Please include a copy of your invoice and an accompanying letter outlining the reason for your return. We will then contact you and discuss your exchange or refund process.

Please note refunds can take up to 14 days.

 

Monthly Subscriptions

How do I change my subscription order?

Login into your account. Within your account, you’ll be able to update your order.

What products can’t I add to my subscription?

Certain items like Teaware can’t be added to your subscription.

How can I find out when my next monthly subscription is due?

Login into your account. Within your account, you’ll see the monthly date your goods are dispatched.

Can I change my monthly subscription products?

To make changes to your order, please cancel the current subscription and create a new subscription.

I’ve ordered before, can I get the discount?

Subscriptions are independent of regular place orders and the subscription discount can’t be added to one-off orders.

Can I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your monthly subscription after the first two month period. To cancel, please login into your account to cancel.

Can I pause a monthly subscription?

Unfortunately, we can not, please cancel the current subscription and create a new subscription when you’re ready to start again.

Can I have multiple subscriptions?

This is possible, but unfortunately, only via card payment subscriptions, Paypal only limits only one subscription.
